when it comes to Republicans. There could be several reasons why he said what he said.
1. Deflection from gun control issue.
2. Panicked and said something semi-logical because he couldn't think of credible excuse.
3. A momentary lapse of moral lucidity.
4. Forgot rebel flag stands for slavery and racism.
