Sandy Rios, the American Family Associations director of governmental affairs, attacked President Obama today for his response to the Charleston shooting, which she said is proof that he enjoys such incidents because it will give him another chance to remove guns from the hands of the American people.
Unlike the family members of the victims who offered messages of forgiveness, Rios said, there are other people who seem to respond and fester and enjoy these problems and make the most of them, and I would include president of the United States, this of course he took as an opportunity to lay out his passion against allowing American people to carry guns.
She accused Obama of rushing to link the shooting to weak gun laws, adding that all the tragedies remind him that he wants to stop American people from having guns.

Disgusting. Absolutely disgusting.
And they are in control in a majority of state houses, and both houses of our national congress. Democrats are hanging on by fingernails to the White House.
Meanwhile, at Democratic Underground, we are infighting when we should be uniting under not just a single candidate but our party, which is our only hope.
Go Bernie. Go Hillary. Go Lincoln. Go Martin. (Alphabetical order)
Think. Divide and conquer?

(50,560 posts)If Ms. Rios wishes to politick, that's perfectly fine; we do have the freedom of speech in this country, even the freedom to make yourself look like a damn fool in the name of criticizing the president.
However, if you wish to be a political force in America, as Ms. Rios does, your organization needs to pay its taxes like every other political group does, and it needs to stop allowing its marks to deduct payments to your organization from their taxes.
