Hillary Clinton and the Great Leap of Faith

In the United States, we have women in both houses of Congress. There are female governors and not one but two women on the Supreme Court. A woman can be a general or a firefighter. We have female boxers, for Christ's sake. But somehow, we have never dared to elect a woman to be Commander-in-Chief.

Why not?

Much of the friendly fire aimed at Senator/Secretary Clinton is of the "What man is she doing it for?" variety. She only wants to be president to satisfy Bill's desire to have eight more years. She is running for the highest office in the land at the behest of a smoke filled backroom of Banksters who plan to use her as their puppet. While attending prayer breakfasts in Congress, some Svengali of the Right turned her into his Trilby----

Other Democratic candidates----male candidates accept campaign contributions from corporations, because that is how the game is played in Washington. They take the money, and once they are elected and sworn in, they get to choose which promises they keep and which they forget. Donors are required to make a leap of faith when giving money and support to a male presidential candidate, because, after he takes office, he will be the boss, the one in charge, the decision maker. He will have the responsibility for keeping this country safe, and, being a man, he will take that responsibility to heart.

If Hillary Clinton accepts your money, you can be damn sure that she will deliver. Why? Because, as a woman, she was put on this earth to satisfy some man. No, I know that is not what you meant to write when you talked about all the folks with whom she has associated at one time or another. You never meant to say that her gender predisposed her to being some fatcat's personal Girl Friday. It is all about her character. Her overly shy disposition. The way that she goes out of her way to never say an unkind word about anyone, to never alienate anyone. She is just so gosh darned meek and biddable. She would never dare to use special interests to achieve the office of the President of the United States so that she could enact her own agenda and effect the change that she wants to make-----

Don't take this the wrong way, but when folks talk about Hillary Clinton as if she is some kind of trumped up Stepford Wife, it makes me want to puke. Because the only thing Stepfordish about Clinton is her gender.

"Every woman deserves a chance to acheive her full god given potential."

Clinton was talking about all women---including herself. Come on America. Take the Great Leap of Faith. Act as if Hillary Clinton is exactly what she has appeared to be for all these years, a brave, bold defender of the downtrodden. Ignore that nagging little doubt which says "She's a woman. She'll wimp out. She'll give in to the whims of some man."

Is this the face and voice of a Stepford President?

We need to vote on political candidates based on their color or genitalia -- not on their ability, achievements, character, competency, ideology, or qualifications.

If that's the case, maybe we should consider voting for Carly Fiorina.

Big money in politics is a problem regardless of a politician's gender.

And this statement is just silly:

Much of the friendly fire aimed at Senator/Secretary Clinton is of the "What man is she doing it for?" variety.

I may be tuned out, but I can't ever recall a statement of that variety re: Hillary.

"Act as if Hillary Clinton is exactly what she has appeared to be for all these years, a brave, bold defender of the downtrodden."

It is precisely because I do NOT believe that she is anything other than what she appeared to be for all these years that I will not have enthusiasm for her: a former Wal-Mart exec that has called people "foolish" for attacking the rich and whose war policy might as well have been written by Golda Meir and Maggie Thatcher.

What, did they do a Rip van Winkle in 1999 and wake up last week or something?

off of its life support. As a woman, I am offended that anyone thinks I should support Hillary because she is a woman, even though I disagree with her policies. That's not equality. Sorry. You do Hillary - and women - no favors by pushing this.

with the same associations (Wall Street, Kissinger, MIC), hawkish foreign policy views, and seeming lack of any core beliefs other than a desire to attain the office for the sake of attaining the office by whatever means necessary, just as much as I oppose her. I fear HRC's open hawkishness. It calls to mind unpleasant memories of Margaret Thatcher's bellicosity and belligerence.

And I would be every bit as much for Elizabeth Warren as I am for Sanders if she had entered the race rather than Bernie.
