When the only place you can see Gone With the Wind is in some museum in NYC...

... then maybe I will believe that we are actually giving the confederacy an appropriate heave-ho from our culture.

Maybe GWTW can replace Men of Crisis: The Harvey Wallinger Story at the Paley Center for Media.

Double major - one was Mass Communications. Two Art and History of film courses - pre req for film making. The section on 'Responsibility' vs Technical Ability we watched two films:
Birth of A Nation
Triumph of The Will

Our instructor warned us - and even with the warnings - my white male peers - one came right out and said BOAN was hateful and he thought it was bullshit and he was going to the University President and his grandfather fought in WW II and on and on and on.

Technically - they are beautiful . . .

But the propaganda - it sucks. It's right out there.

GWTW - it's there - but all wrapped up in pretty dresses and happy slaves.

Perhaps you are right.
