It could be somebody moving, who they handed the keys to with almost no experience. In fact if you watch the videos, it seems like most of the trucks that hit are rentals.

A professional driver should know how high is truck is. If there is doubt, a professional would likely find a new route, or stop, get out and look.

Also, insurance on most rental trucks doesn't cover roof damage, so they might be in for an expensive bill.

It appears only the first truck was rented. The second driver tried to stop before hitting the bridge.
