In an explosive Fox News rant, Bill O’Reilly argued that only anti-Americans believe the U.S. is suffering from epidemic racism — but he refused to say if he has any black friends.

The conservative pundit sounded off on race and racism in a Tuesday night shouting match with Fox News analyst Kirsten Powers on “The O’Reilly Factor.”

“I don’t think it’s an epidemic of racism. I don’t think it’s ingrained in this society,” the hot-headed host yelled. “The world is being told by anti-American haters that we are a rank, racist society, and that is a lie.”

We have a history of O'Reilly. I guess the institution of O'Reilly is not as onerous as the institution of slavery, but it does have a lasting, negative impact. "Bad aftertaste," I guess I would call it.

Don't excuse imperfections, acknowledge them and work to change them and go forward seeking perfection.

WE may never have a perfect world, however acknowledging our past imperfections goes a long way to making things better in the future.

HE is denying that racism is a serious problem in this country.

HE is denying the problem and he is denying systemic racism.

You are still defending Bill O'Reilly on this board. I condemn his words and his treatment of his guests. Perhaps you missed that point or perhaps you are defending him. I do not know.

I am concerned about racism here in this nation. Even a little is too much and I will work to enlighten people to this scourge until the day I leave this planet.
