I guess killing him will bring back those he killed?

(23,350 posts)7. Not until the appeals are done, in a couple of decades ..
.. and then only if the approved drugs can be smuggled in.
Bad decision. Death gives him some status as a martyr.

not surprised.
I would have far more content with justice and his serving a life imprisoned.

That civilians are only allowed to plot the deaths of people one at a time. Or something.

*sigh*
I wish the US would grow up already.....

If he did not get the death penalty, he would be kept in solitary for the rest of his life. His life expectancy would be very short among other inmates, and the prison staff nor Tsarnaev would be allowed exposure to that. Not to mention the prison could not tolerate a known disruption and danger to staff and inmates, so he would slowly rot into insanity for a very very long time, in his personal 6 x 10 SHU bachelor pad.
If he got the death penalty, it's unlikely it would be carried out in any type of expeditious manner, so he would slowly rot into the same insanity as if no death penalty, with the added bonus of his execution being his bed time story every night. Until someday, the bed time story would become reality. I personally like this way better.
Either way, .......... Tsarnev ? ................... welcome to the end of your sanity, and enjoy the crushing depression you will relish for the rest of your very long and very miserable life.
