She didn't. And I don't believe for a minute that she really wants it to be removed permanently; she make that move not because it's the right thing to do, but because she doesn't want riots and has re-election to consider.

She's still the same idiotic tea partier, just hedging her bets is all.

If they really wanted to show some respect for the dead, they could have covered it without violating their permanent law. That law does seem to make that flag permanent there. They wrote it just to make it that hard to get taken down. What assholes. They could have bothered to cover it or something.
