Republican presidential contenders face a dilemma when talking about racial issues after last week's racially motivated murders at a South Carolina church, as a new poll shows many Republican primary voters are less likely to see the topic as important.

W/o reading article, initial take from poll: non-caucasians aren't among GOP voters. Surprise! No wonder they hate VRA and push voter suppression. Besides racist tones of that is an undercurrent of eliteism -- the hoi polloi are the ones mostly affected by voter ID & gerrymandering.
