Fox & Friends’ stunning hypocrisy: “We were never told the nature of (Dylann Roof's) bias”

The gang also argued that racism isn't a real problem in the U.S.

JOANNA ROTHKOPF

On Thursday morning’s “Fox & Friends,” hosts Steve Doocy, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Brian Kilmeade demonstrated a fairly impressive feat for a five-minute segment, denying that racism is a widespread problem in the U.S. then swiftly arguing that it isn’t their fault they didn’t know Dylann Storm Roof, the Charleston shooter, was a white supremacist.

Hasselbeck first said, “It’s disappointing and it’s irresponsible to call racism when it’s not racism because it basically underscores the hate when it actually does happen–”

“It blunts it,” Kilmeade corrected.

“If we were a racist nation, Barack Obama would not have been elected president of the United States twice. It’s a math thing,” Doocy chimed in.

They ran with the War on Christians motif without even once throwing out the idea that it could have been a racially motivated attack and now they're trying to deflect the blame for it.

14. In their world view: The right believe there are mostly mythical calls of racism on the left

They think 99% of outrage against racism inherent in American social systems is made up. Hence she is confused when it so obviously can't be brushed away in an instance. So instead they use a dodge. Here is racism, yes, but we are slow to call it that because the term is so precious and misused in society. Of course, if you know this whole scenario is batshit insane talking points by the right then it sounds stupid. But most FOX viewers think 99.9% of racism is trumped up. They pander to their audience to the extreme and to the point they don't know their lies from truth. Fox news destroys your brain.
