The Obama eulogy yesterday was amazing and beautiful and deep and so moving. Everyone should really take time to listen to it.
I have had many issues with Obama, but man, at times, he is just awesome.

(6,262 posts)Knew I had to be out, so recorded the service. It was masterful in its construction and delivery. Now have watched it three times, noticing more "grace" notes each time. For those who haven't seen it, he used the theme of the hymn Amazing Grace as a touchstone to make various points, as well as illuminating the scriptural meaning of God's grace as reflected in the lives of the victims and events in the aftermath.
Each time I cried and also cheered.
Made me wonder if he might turn to being a pastor in some way for the nation upon retirement. This eulogy was even more from his heart than that of Beau Biden's, which also made me love him and Joe all the more.
You just have to see this.

(52,791 posts)I've been searching for adequate adjectives... someway to describe it that would send more people to find it and listen for themselves. Usually I'm pretty good at that
I am not up to this, as a writer..
Everyone deserves to hear it from him.
