I see the picture of the hateful prick that killed those poor people in the church. I want to hug him and let him know that his hate is wrong. Can he learn or is it too late?

I don't expect there is much of a soul left there to save.

(6,262 posts)Over and over again. That's the only way I can imagine that he will absorb enough to have an epiphany of some sort of what an evil thing he did while under the thrall of racist propaganda.
Then, while he is honestly sobbing uncontrollably, he MIGHT be mildly enfolded in a short embrace by someone more kind than I.

but not in a prison cell, and not if there is a refusal to
being receptive.
The problem is his cold hate, thus he could turn his hate
towards a different group, which would be counterproductive,
because he still would use violence.
