The college is not a salute to the Confederacy. If anything, it's another side of REL as an academic. I heard that Lee still has the highest score at West Point and was smarter than any of the Union generals. I can't imagine demanding that W&L change its name and charter to erase/delete the legacy of Lee with the renewed interest in cultural Reconstruction.

Like anything in history, it's complicated and more than one side to the story of any historical figure.
