CNN host to Donald Trump: ‘What’s traditional about being married three times?’

CNN host Jake Tapper recently confronted Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump about how his three marriages were morally justified if he only believed in so-called “traditional marriage” values.

After the U.S. Supreme Court effectively legalized same-sex marriage on Friday, Trump accused Chief Justice John Roberts of letting the country down.

Although the candidate has said his views are “evolving,” his campaign position is that only “traditional marriage” between “a man and a woman” should be legal.

CNN’s Tapper asked Trump if he could justify his view on marriage in an interview that aired on Sunday.

“What do you say to a lesbian who’s married or a gay man who’s married who says, ‘Donald Trump, what’s traditional about being married three times?'” Tapper wondered.

“Well, they have a very good point,” Trump admitted. “But I’ve been a very hardworking person. And actually, I have a great marriage, I have a great wife now. My (first) two wives were very good.”

25. Many People Work Hard
Sun Jun 28, 2015, 03:51 PM
Jun 2015

There are many people around the world that work harder than Donald Trump. Many of those people have not been married three times, nor have they cheated on their spouse(s).

So, what is it with Republican men that they always blame everyone and everything else for their failed marriages? They are always too hard working, or too patroitic and that causes them to cheat on their wives and get married and divorced multiple times. If they cannot figure out how to juggle their work and their marriages maybe they should not run for President. If they could not keep their marriages together when they were not President how are they supposed to do so once they become President?

If you work real hard, you get extra wives. Especially if you are rich.

What a non-answer. But illuminating as to the mindset of the 1%.

I bet a lot of us have a hard time with it, we that know because (gosh) we actually read what Jesus Christ believed!

Another reason to make sure we do all we can to keep the GOP out of as many political offices as possible. They don't even know the core teachings of the New Testment! So how in the world can we expect them to run something as elaborate as government!?

We can't! And we don't want them to!

The comment is attributed to Cousin Brucie, the radio dj, who said that with regard to Trump's run for the presidency, he was sure that the Donald would not be doing Celebrity Apprentice next year.

He went on to say that he was definitely sure that the Donald WOULD be doing Celebrity Apprentice the following year.

Trump wasn't working so hard that he couldn't find time to cheat on his first wife for a couple of years. That's the reason for his first divorce, not "working" 22 hours a day.

The guy is pure comedy gold.

The part about marriages is most relevant to Donald Trump. His marriages have lasted more than a month, but as the original story says he has been married multiple times.
