Compromise - Timing Is Everything......
For the length of President Obama's term - the Repugs did not compromise. Now as we are coming to the end of his term and the Repugs see the possibility that they might be able to take the White House - they are talking compromise and patting themselves on their back that they worked with Obama on the trade bill. Hmmmm...... you think that they are doing that for the right reasons? I don't.
They want to be able to talk during the primaries and the run up to the 2016 election that they are great guys and gals and that they compromise - they're hoping the American People forget about the previous 6 1/2 years. They also are hedging their bets in case by some wild ass chance they take the White House. If they took over - they would want the Dems to compromise with them.
Then today - we get Crisp Crispy saying that he's all about the truth and compromise. And if you believe that I have a bridge in Death Valley I'd like to sell you.
