No matter what promises a candidate makes, as long as there are so many Republicans in Congress, it's a dead issue.
No waving a magic wand to make it happen. It's an empty campaign promise.

American children need decent health care. I don't care who is president, I will fight for that.

You remember that candidate Obama said that H. Clinton's health plan wasn't enough (progressives agreed) and that he wouldn't settle for anything short of single payer (progressives cheered). The ACA is better than we had, but I won't be satisfied until our children, all of them, have decent, affordable health care. Every dollar the insurance companies skim off the top (and send the politicians their cut) is a dollar of health care that our children are not getting.
