More Trump Mexico Malfeasance: "Baja venture leaves buyers high and dry"

From the memory hole. Trump has since settled a lawsuit relating to this fiasco.

http://articles.latimes.com/2009/mar/07/business/fi-trump7

Stephen and Linda Drake cast aside concerns about owning property in Mexico because they believed in Donald Trump.

The Southern California couple made a $250,000 down payment on a 19th-floor oceanfront condo in Trump Ocean Resort Baja in 2006 before the first construction crew arrived.

But admiration for the celebrity developer and star of "The Apprentice" has now turned into anger and disbelief as Trump's luxury hotel-condo plan collapsed, leaving little more than a hole in the ground and investors out of their deposits, which totaled $32.2 million.

"I can't even stand to see Trump's face on TV," said Linda Drake, a psychologist whose husband is a commercial airline pilot and financial advisor."

Big old mistake right there. Same one waiting to hit anyone foolish enough to back him for President.

before it went belly up. That's his style, make a bundle, declare bankruptcy and split.

Thanks but no thanks.
I would never take his advice, especially not PAY to get his advice.

Which con job is he filing bankruptcy for? This one or another? He has had as many bankruptcy cases as he has ex-wives.

I can just imagine the disgust when they hear Trump brag about how rich he is. Why is he rich? Loop holes?

Something is wrong for this to happen and the question is...how many times has he played these games?

I'll bet those who have been conned would like to grab Trump by those blonde "wings" he has for hair and swirl him in the air a few times. What a jerk.

He's the classic example of a GOP vulture capitalist - finding easy targets, bilking them out of their money, and screwing them over to keep that money. He's their perfect candidate.
