...the whole "A family has to balance its budget" thing the GOP keeps repeating....

...what sort of families do these people live in where nobody has a credit card and nobody takes out loans?...or where nobody's grandparents or great-grandparents were ever given a line of credit by a bank 'til a crop came in or a shipment was sold?

OR where nobody was ever allowed to run a tab at the general store, even?

It's one of my favorite comebacks for those types, "Oh, so I guess you didn't go out and get a mortgage then, you instead rented and saved up the cash for a new home. So I'm guessing when you are 90 you can move right in."

Governments don't have to repay their debt because they don't retire. And, they can print their own money.

The MSM asserts as gospel the belief that a Wall Street businessperson is most qualified to run the nation's economy, even though there's very little similarity between the mechanics of a federal budget and the budget of a corporation.

Every Mortgage and Card comes with a Bill every month. Eventually I/we have to be able to pay everyone back (unless your name is Ponzi).
