Why are so many attacks headed for St. Louis, MO? What is there of interest?

cities. I did a little research and apparently there is a lot of data center operations located in St. Louis. It's a data center hot spot, so that's probably why it's such a target. The Fed probably isn't the target, really, although it's probably a target.

I get the gist of that article, though. Kind of a diversionary thing for the security folks to find while the read attack is happening elsewhere. Keep them busy looking at the barrage of minor threats so they don't notice the ones that are already working maliciously.

At some point, something will probably succeed to the point that there is major damage that can't be restored. Things like the Sony or Target escapades will seem minor at that point. I'm sure that's the goal of the nation-based hacking efforts. It will happen, I'm sure.

Right now, China is facing a collapse of its stock trading system. I'm not sure that's related to anything, of course, but the US and other nations are also capable of attacking. It's warfare, but not with bombs and planes.

I wish I knew more, but I don't have time to explore this all in depth.

China really is attacking the US cyberwise. Makes it very visual.

That map is cool looking, but it isn't even scratching the surface of how many cyber attacks are actually occurring. It's just the ones they can track. And being based in St. Louis they can likely track more of those.
