Cincinnati officers charged, accused of covering up fellow officer's crash

One caller told the 911 dispatcher, "This man in a gray van was flying around the corners. He is drunk as hell, ma'am. He is drunk as hell. He ran every stop sign. He was right in front of me."
The initial police report suggested Mitchell swerved to avoid a left-of-center vehicle and crashed his gray Honda minivan into a utility pole.
It made no mention of Mitchell’s position as a police sergeant, nor did it indicate that Mitchell was off-duty at the time, driving his own personal vehicle.
