Why would someone nail high heels to telephone poles??

http://www.wkyt.com/wymt/home/headlines/Mysterious-high-heels-pop-up-on-poles-across-Middlesboro-312238331.html#.VZ1u6oqLe-0.facebook

<snip>
"It's up pretty high and they've used like a washer nail so it's kind of professional. Unless they stood on a real high truck...that's the only way I can think of. They probably done it real early in the morning when nobody is watching," Foster added.

There are some rumors. Social media is buzzing about the bizarre sight.

"There's a lot of jokes stirring up about the electric men and the rates going up. It's a cheaper way for them to get up the pole, but I don't believe that."

For now, folks will just have to wonder what exactly are those shoes doing up towards the sky.

We talked to Middlesboro Police about the shoes. They do not believe there is anything criminal. We are told they just think someone is trying to be artistic.

I know of a farmer that has land with a playa lake next to the highway. When the lake was dry (As it usually is in West Texas) he made wo high mounds of dirt and on one mound, he put a Gorilla statue which is about 6- foot tall. On the other mound of dirt, he put a Dinosaur that is smaller. I ask when passing through if it was a local school mascot and they said no, it was just something for people to talk about. It is in Crosbyton, TX.
