A man who police say forced his "slave" to break into a former CNN anchor's New Mexico motel room, sparking a deadly shoot out, has been charged with murder.

Skyy Durrell Barrs, 30, whom Albuquerque police say put the armed intruder up to the attack, was arrested Thursday for the ambush which left ex-anchor Lynne Russell's husband wounded and intruder Tomorio Walton dead.

"Although Tomorio was shot by the robbery victim in self-defense, Tomorio's death was caused by the actions of Skyy Barrs for planning to (commit a robbery) and providing Tomorio with a firearm," the criminal complaint, obtained by Fox News read.

Those allegations reportedly emerged with the help of a police informant who referred to the duo's plan of committing a robbery by its slang term of "hit a lick." The informant also identified Walton as one of Barrs' "slaves" who would carry out his dirty work.

Those cases are just vastly outnumbered by accidents, suicides, crimes, and carelessness.
