I am not terribly worried about how much money they have. On their side they have money, but no passion. On our side we don't have much money, but we do have a whole lot of people who are mobilizing for the biggest get out the vote campaign this country has ever seen. We will crush them.

they have the passion they always have, the passion that makes them get out EVERY election while our team sleepwalks through every election but presidentials - they vote AGAINST something time in and time out, that is their passion, and it is the passion that has gotten them the most power they have had in congress, the state level, in the judiciary.

We aren't crushing them.

Not going to happen, we are going to be lucky to win POTUS, and he or she will almost assuredly have at the very least a republican house that will hold her or him back from doing anything real substantial.

3. Didn't Hillary's campaign give out an estimate of ~$2.5billion?

WTF?

The Koch bros. alone are bragging about bringing in ~$1billion.

What do you think these big money candidates are going to do with all that cash?
I ask, since it's already started. What do you see that is being done with the cash? Where is it going?

Please don't give a "for FOX only" answer.

I always thanked republicans for the huge economic boosts they gave to all the states. republicans never work for free, they have to pay for everything.

THANK YOU FOR THE FREE STIMULUS MONEY, ROMNEY YOU LOSER

It was 103 million. It's also a record for a Super-PAC.

Right to Rise, the super-PAC backing former Florida governor Jeb Bush, reported raising $103 million in the first six months of this year. It's a record haul for a super-PAC and more than almost every presidential candidate has ever raised for their primary campaigns. The group has already spent about $5 million, but claims to have more than $98 million in the bank, which it is waiting to unleash to boost Bush's candidacy and demolish his rivals.

The super-PAC's massive fundraising total doesn't necessarily represent a huge swell of popular support. According to a statement released by Right to Rise, the organization raised money from just 9,900 donors. The super-PAC reports that at least 9,400 of them gave less than $25,000. That may sound like those donors are relatively small time—and they may be compared to the group's largest donors—but considering the most an individual can give to Bush's actual presidential campaign is $5,400, the super-PAC's "small donors" are still big donors in the world of political fundraising.

By law, the super-PAC can't coordinate its spending with Bush's campaign, which was launched on June 15, but the news today makes it seem as if it really doesn't need to. Just minutes before the super-PAC released its take this afternoon, the campaign announced its own fundraising total for first 16 days of its existence: $11.4 million. For now at least, Right to Rise is the real financial muscle behind Bush 2016.

To put Right to Rise's numbers in historical context, Mitt Romney's entire primary effort in 2008 cost $107 million; Hillary Clinton's cost $245.7 million.

That's some big money backing!

5. This was the real issue all along in the news, but you couldn't tell

it here through all the Hillary bashing. Jeb was running as a non-declared candidate for a while and doing whatever he wanted to collect money, campaign finance laws be dammed. Now it's clear it's not a good idea to ignore what the Republicans are doing while bashing Democrats. I'm actually surprised there wasn't more outrage about this here.

6. I'm not sure money will be all that important.

It seems strange for me to write that, but I have a feeling that the millions and millions of $ and slick media marriages designed to manipulate the public just aren't going to be effective.

It's almost as if people are becoming immune to it. I'm liking what I'm seeing and hearing.

are "immune to it?"

Cause the people I see on average in this country are the REASON that big money works.

The stupid is omnipresent in this country.

7. A good percentage of this was raised before Jeb announced

Before Jeb officially announced, he could coordinate and directly solicit for contributions. Now that he is an announced candidate, there are more restrictions on his ability to solicit but I still expect Jeb to be the best funded GOP candidate

In voters and that's what decides elections. Even in spite of the bull that is already slung his way he is still gaining on all of them.
It bothers me not and in fact I like that my candidate has not and will not take money from the rich and corporations. A big plus for me

Does he get to keep it? He seems remarkably unenthusiastic and lead footed for a presidential candidate, leaving me wondering if it's not just some money-raising scheme.
