President Obama continues his new stride as he chides Republicans for their failed prognostications. Democratic politicians encouraged his silence during the 2014 elections. Imagine what could have been if Americans had realized they had something to vote for. Imagine if Americans had believed that those pushing a relatively progressive agenda believed in that agenda and was willing to fight for that agenda.

(23,946 posts)March 18, 2015.....except even more true now than then, and we still have all the tapes :
"We were told our goals were misguided, our policies would fail.....destroy the economy forever!
Remember that?
Sometimes we don' t do the instant replay. We should do that."
GOP elected politician predictions of gloom and doom:
"Running trillion dollar a year deficit forever"
"Gas will be $6.60"
"Unemployment will be 6.0 by 2016"
The media is too embarrassed to admit the GOP fucked it all up again.

(16,928 posts)is a speech that should have been the lead story on EVERY evening news show (well, OK, we can guess that FAUX NEWS may have missed it).
Ah, but that's what you get when you have a "liberal lame-stream media" running the show.

And others should have his back on these things. The Rs claim the same old shit no matter what reality is.

please post it in this thread. This is fantastic.
Progressive policies work. Particularly when we have a President who is focused on the economy and an Administration like this one that is free from scandal.
Now our main focus must be on raising wages. We must keep electing progressives to all forms of government, who focus on single payer health care, civil rights and protecting and enhancing wages so that there are no working poor. Working a 40 hour week should enable one to live well.
