Think how hard it would be for the 20,000 4,000 (-2,000 paid attendees) to show up at his speeches.

Trump says he has billions. He can hire a bodyguard if he feels scared. Maybe he should stop letting his mouth write a check his ass can't cash.

If his own words enrage this guy to come after him, he only has himself to blame. On the other hand, Trump moved on to talking about other issues I'm sure this El Chapo guy would forget about him pretty quick.

and should not be subject to threats or intimidation of any kind. I hear a lot of dismissiveness in this thread because people don't like Trump. What he stands for is irrelevant. If the threat is deemed credible and he requests it, he should have SS protection.

Secret Service Candidate Protection is only authorized within 120 days of the election.

He can pay for his own damn bodyguards in the meantime, like he has for several years.

SS protection is for high government officials and their families, or for presidential nominees. Trump is neither.

Not saying he will or should with Trump, but the legal framework is in place. And it is political speech, asinine or not, whether you or I like it, or not.

there needs to be a MUCH higher bar than "political speech", asinine or not, whether you or I like it, or not.

Melt down as El Chapo gets nearer and nearer, who followed by a camera crew. As is giving Trump clues to his whereabouts.

And if the drug lord kidnaps Trump. The Audience could guess each week what body part gets sent back. With a growing cash prize if the part is guessed. We could have a star panel watch Trumps kidnapped videos and rate the sincerity of Trump's screams for help.

It's way too early for SS protection for any member of the Clown Car. Threats must be credible to warrant such protection. Obama did not get protection until the Secret Service had more credible threats against his life than any candidate in history.

The FBI is closely monitoring the El Chapo situation and should there be a credible threat, Trump will get SS protection.
