For those who know and love it, and those who've never seen it: the best scene in movie history.

In honor of this remarkable day - Signing of the historic Iran Nuclear Peace Deal on the anniversary of the Révolution Française et la République Française, Bastille Day.

I give you the best EVER rendition of the 'MARSEILLAISE'.

Makes me tear up no matter how many times I watch it. Powerful, beautiful, stunning.

When I was an exchange student there EONS ago, in Paris, I recall they had numerous cinemas throughout the capitol showing old films, some exclusively. Casablanca is definitely a keeper. Got turned on to all kinds of films there - Abbas Kiarostami, for example. Leni Riefenstahl's Triumph of the Will (at some embassy near the Eiffel Tower, forget which one). Lots of first run French and English films, too, before (IF) they made it stateside.

Where are you from originally, if you don't mind my asking?

Comment from below the video on YouTube:

How they can turn a movie’s ending into an anti-Obama rant is beyond me.

I laughed at the idiot saying white people voted for him so therefore racism doesn’t exist (I’m paraphrasing). I can’t believe how deep the stupid is in those morons.

I think that King Arthur's encounter with the black knight ("It's only a flesh wound&quot has been posted on DU several times, in various contexts of people denying reality.

But Dennis the constitutional peasant ("Help, help, I'm being repressed&quot is also a contender.
