#yesallblackpeople (references #notallwhitepeople)

There's a lot of "I'm white and not me" or "#notallwhitepeople" stuff going on here.

I can only post 4 so I'll choose a few that seem particularly relevant to DU. (I'm white and skipping #1 - which is probably ironic but I'm not trying to lead the conversation and I apologize if I ever move in that direction.) Anyway, skipping it wasn't motivated by anything other than that I wanted to work in #6 and #s 2, 3, and 4 come up really regularly.

2) #YesAllBlackPeople encounter multiple anti-black indignities on a regular basis, regardless of how rich, educated, or powerful we are.

3) #YesAllBlackPeople are tired of having our lived experiences with racism undermined by white feelings, despite our decades of informed protest.

4) #YesAllBlackPeople know better than Webster’s Dictionary what racism actually means. We’re living it. Don’t whitesplain it to us. (Webster’s and Oxford English Dictionaries are largely white-controlled purveyors of language.)

6) #YesAllBlackPeople know that #NotAllWhitePeople are racist. But we’re talking about a system, not you personally (unless we have to). Get over yourself.

Yes. From Scorpio's thread

White people, possibly children, being taught that black men are target practice. Conditioning them to see black lives as disposable whether they're wearing a tailored suit or a hoodie.

In this case, this is a subconscious dehumanization of black lives that affects everyone who sees it.

Well, I still think it's a bad idea to condition people to target human beings with distinguishable characteristics. Someone who attacks you could look like anyone, not necessarily a black guy or Italian looking white guy.

Really not giving the first damn over the hurt feelings and expletive-laden fuckwittery from a few here about White Tears.
