The BFEE's 2 traits: Dirty tricks & election theft. This lends to TRUMP-Chapo "jokes" coming real

Dear hosts, I don't believe/intend this is conspiracy theorizing, but as always your call will be final.

Poppy and Jeb Crow Shrub are masters of the "nice" veneer while their evil minions take care of the dirty stuff for them. Shrub just has his dirty laundry in plain view and crashes this way through via the power of privilege. Was there anything in Dan RATHER's reporting about him that was NOT true? Was there anything in HATFIELD's book about him that was NOT true? Yet Shrub just crashed on through them both.

So ATWATER, KKKarl, and Roger STONE are well known for their dirty tricks (and who knows how many others, nameless, are out there). When the tricks might fall short, the BFEE just outright steals the elections: The October Surprise of 1980 probably wasn't needed since the country was demoralized over the hostages, but it was that extra bit of treasonous dealing with the enemy. Then Coup-2000 and probably 2004.

So from the moment of TRUMP's announcement, he has been actually the best thing going for Dems with his unfriendly fire at his own Repuke comrades. But his shooting himself in the foot made it seem he would go down the drain fast. But this Chapo's absurd being ENABLED to escape has been treated as a joke, while it has the potential of being a disaster on many fronts: It has further undermined the Mexican government; it has made TRUMP's racism a call to arms for closeted racists.

So the jokes have been about the Robin Hood Chapo avenging his people the way their government cannot. Funny. Funny how TRUMP runs to the FBI. Funny. But if the threats were actually fulfilled, it would mean the empowered racists would rise up, and the LEAST of the consequences would be a total rout against the Democratic nominee, Hillary or whomever.

.... The book alleges that Bush received preferential treatment throughout his life, from his early schooling at Andover, Yale and Harvard, to his business connections in Midland, Texas, and his personal ownership interest in the Texas Rangers baseball team, to his candidacy for Governor and President. Hatfield argues that Bush succeeded in life not on merit, but on family connections alone, as a member of a modern oligarchy.

Soon after the book's release, The Dallas Morning News reported that Hatfield was a paroled felon who had been convicted in 1988 of paying a hit man $5,000 to murder his former boss with a car bomb. It was also revealed that Hatfield pleaded guilty to embezzlement in 1992. Hatfield at first denied the allegations when his publisher confronted him, but he eventually owned up to his criminal history.

.... Due to the revelations of Hatfield's criminal past, and the damage to his credibility, in October 1999, Hatfield's publisher, St. Martin's Press, recalled 70,000 copies of Fortunate Son and left an additional 20,000 books in storage. Even so, the book had already reached the New York Times bestseller list. The book was later republished by Soft Skull Press.

Hatfield died on July 18, 2001, in what was apparently a suicide, dying of an overdose of prescription drugs. Police reports cited the events occurring in the aftermath of Fortunate Son‍ 's publication as a reason for taking his own life.

The Powell Memo (also known as the Powell Manifesto)

The Powell Memo was first published August 23, 1971

Introduction

In 1971, Lewis Powell, then a corporate lawyer and member of the boards of 11 corporations, wrote a memo to his friend Eugene Sydnor, Jr., the Director of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The memorandum was dated August 23, 1971, two months prior to Powell’s nomination by President Nixon to the U.S. Supreme Court.

The Powell Memo did not become available to the public until long after his confirmation to the Court. It was leaked to Jack Anderson, a liberal syndicated columnist, who stirred interest in the document when he cited it as reason to doubt Powell’s legal objectivity. Anderson cautioned that Powell “might use his position on the Supreme Court to put his ideas into practice…in behalf of business interests.”

Though Powell’s memo was not the sole influence, the Chamber and corporate activists took his advice to heart and began building a powerful array of institutions designed to shift public attitudes and beliefs over the course of years and decades. The memo influenced or inspired the creation of the Heritage Foundation, the Manhattan Institute, the Cato Institute, Citizens for a Sound Economy, Accuracy in Academe, and other powerful organizations. Their long-term focus began paying off handsomely in the 1980s, in coordination with the Reagan Administration’s “hands-off business” philosophy.

Most notable about these institutions was their focus on education, shifting values, and movement-building — a focus we share, though often with sharply contrasting goals.* (See our endnote for more on this.)

So did Powell’s political views influence his judicial decisions? The evidence is mixed. Powell did embrace expansion of corporate privilege and wrote the majority opinion in First National Bank of Boston v. Bellotti, a 1978 decision that effectively invented a First Amendment “right” for corporations to influence ballot questions. On social issues, he was a moderate, whose votes often surprised his backers.

Great OP, UTUSN. Bush -- and Nixon and Reagan -- the War Party BFEE axis of weasels can't win an election fair and square, even with all the money in the world. So they do what they know how: Cheat and Betray.

And I don't put anything past the Bush machine. Believe me, they will stop at nothing to get Jeb in there. Nothing. Whether or not this is their plan I don't know. But nothing is off the table with them. If you do not believe that, sit tight, it is gonna get ugly.
