Enjoy every minute, but get to that baby proofing walking isn't as far from crawling as you might think.

(26,549 posts)In a year or so, you'll be annoyed that all your possessions must be at least 5 feet above the floor. Then they figure out how to climb and you're really screwed.
Sarcasm aside, enjoy every moment. It's wonderful.

Edit to add: That reads mean and I didn't mean it to. She's as adorable as mine were. They're in their 50s now and still won't sit down and shut up.

(3,919 posts)what a gift....and very happy to see that she is crawling. i can see how bright she is already.
there are many developmental processes which are triggered via tactile and muscle coordination envelopment when babies crawl.
my daughter never crawled - she stood up and started walking at 7 months. when she enrolled in a preschool program, she was diagnosed with dyslexia and a-d-d. the school provided a special tutoring program for her & several other students with the same diagnosis. imagine my surprise one afternoon to walk into the classroom & see the children engaged in crawling around on different tactile surfaces and up and down varying slides/ramps.
