He is confident. He is addressing any conceivable concern about the Iran deal.
I'm glad to see him doing this. God knows, the RW and the Republican Party will trot anything out
to defeat this deal.

It was awesome!

(23,946 posts)Also deserving a well deserved verbal thrashing are AIPAC network CNN and Racist Catholic network Fox.
"Obama Scolds Reporters Over Detained Americans", is the CNN chyron and theme today...no time for actually looking at the details of the agreement...186 pages will not fit into a chyron.
I am not making that up.
CNN is Fox without the blatant racism.

(50,365 posts)the rabid right wing won't turn to pale imitators, they go right to the racist source. I remember back in the days of Ted Turner ownership when CNN had credibility, no longer.

(18,402 posts)Fully in command of all the facts and considerations, able to articulate them clearly and firmly, yet without threats or rancor. And on a subject that is 180 degrees removed from what he had to talk about in detail yesterday (race and criminal justice).
He sets a standard of presidential command and demeanor that all the candidates for the next shot at that position need to study. Because when people look at the candidates and ask if they seem "presidential," this is the kind of thing they will be thinking about.
I realize that nuclear disarmament has been a significant interest of Obama's since he was in college, but I was still impressed with his command of the details of both the science of nuclear weaponry and the complexities of this agreement.

Thank you, Frazzled. These are the qualities that got many of us excited years ago about the idea of a President Obama. Plus you knew he would never, ever do anything personally embarrassing. He's a great human being in many ways that are perfectly suited to the job.
