Confederate flag protestors show up at Lenoir County Courthouse

Protestors showed up at the Lenoir County Courthouse this afternoon, as county commissioners could decide to keep the Confederate flag from flying one day each year.

At least one county commissioner says they should discontinue flying the flag on Confederate Memorial Day.

Commissioners are holding a regular meeting Monday evening. While the flag issue is not on the agenda, it could still be discussed ...

the South the right to celebrate it's heritage, y'see, and wasn't gonna let em fly their special heritage flag so, y'know, they all packed up a nice picnic lunch and hitched up the wagons and, um, rode peacefully in circles around Fort Sumner until, uh, the goddamn Yankees sent all these outside agitator carpet-baggers down to stir up trouble and so there's a confederate memorial day to remember how nice everything was before that
