While Bernie Sanders is running for the White House, his brother Larry is seeking a more humble office: the parliamentary seat of Oxford West and Abingdon
The 80-year-old candidate began to cry as he gave his answer. "My brother announced just today that he is running to be President of the United States," he said.
While Larry Sanders is in the race for the parliamentary seat of Oxford West and Abingdon, his younger brother Bernie Sanders is challenging Hillary Clinton to be the Democratic candidate for president.
The Sanders brothers were born in New York but Larry moved to the UK in 1968 and has long been active in Green politics. His Brooklyn accent has partially given way to the gentle tones of Oxfordshire.

(32,111 posts)and it doesn't look like either have won the US Presidency yet. As opposed to Bush 1, 2, and potential 3 ... along with Clinton 1 and potential 2.
Now if Bernie were to win and serve, and then Larry (in his 90s by then) would come back to the US and run we might have equivalency.

Boo Hoo.
I thought she was the toughest candidate out there, who has already had 12,000 kitchen sinks thrown at her by crazed Republicans- fuck, to my mind, that's a powerful argument in her favor- but here, you're telling me her feelings can't handle anything short of universal approbation on a message board?
Odd.
Or maybe that's just her supporters.
