The real story here is that a drug that could be produced for less than $100 cost thousands because there is no competition form other companies and no imports allowed.
In the comments people mention that veterinary anti-venom only cost $875 per dose. Another comment mentions that Viagra is $5 per pill in Cuba but $38 in the US.
How is this a free economy? The Republicans claim they want free enterprise and no regulation but our healthcare is so rigged. It's un-American.

(13,622 posts)It was a party at a dudes house that had one in a terrarium. He reached to taunt the snake, thinking he'd pull his hand out without getting bit and got nailed right between his thumb and forefinger! He's one of those guy like an "idiot savant" but sometimes without the savant part!
