Charles Koch compares work of his political network to civil rights movement

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2015/08/02/charles-koch-compares-work-of-his-political-network-to-civil-rights-movement/

DANA POINT, Calif. — Charles Koch on Sunday compared the efforts of his political network to the fight for civil rights and other “freedom movements,” urging his fellow conservative donors to follow the lead of figures such as Frederick Douglass, Susan B. Anthony and Martin Luther King Jr.

“History demonstrates that when the American people get motivated by an issue of justice that they believe is just, extraordinary things can be accomplished,” Koch told 450 wealthy conservatives assembled in the ballroom of a lavish oceanfront resort here.

“Look at the American revolution, the anti-slavery movement, the women’s suffrage movement, the civil rights movement,” he said. “All of these struck a moral chord with the American people. They all sought to overcome an injustice. And we, too, are seeking to right injustices that are holding our country back.”

Koch’s remarks came at the start of a session about the strategy of the network, which aims to spend $889 million on issue advocacy, higher education grants and political activity by the end of next year. As part of the program, which was not open to the news media, officials from Chile gave presentations on the country’s economic and political history.

He's full of caca, trying to piggyback off the legitimate civil rights movements!

he was fighting "commies" in the 50s. In fact the Koch brother's father was part of that back then and he was teaching his boys how to recognize a "commie plot" when they saw one.

Too bad he did not teach them about how to recognize fascism when they saw that.

That's how sick reality is for the Koch Brothers. Unfortunately, their delusions are fueled by $100 billion.

Believe we peons are mentally deficient and they can sell any line of Crap they like to the uneducated masses, What is truly disturbing is to a large extent they are correct , The masses are more concerned with the latest, duck dynasty , survivor or Kardashian's, Meanwhile the Koch brothers and their ilk take over the country with false advertising and innuendo phony movements and billions of dollars , While the masses take the bait hook line and sinker, not a care about voting against their own interests as long as the Kardashian's are on, I realize I'm preaching to the choir, So you tell me how do we get it into the thick headed people that this country by definition is has become a fascist nation, Definition of facisim: ( When Corporations and Government work in collusion) The people should be up in arms kicking the polling stations door down to vote the Republicans and third way Democrats out the door, Don't let the door hit them in the ass. So with that in mind , I wonder what this Koch ploy is abouthttp://www.rawstory.com/2015/08/david-koch-decries-corporate-welfare-at-weekend-republican-retreat-but-his-firm-gets-millions-in-federal-subsidies/
