An addendum to last night's Chris Matthews "Let Me Finish." Who isn't protecting our country?

In last night's "Let Me Finish" Chris Matthews said that the people who support Trump are people who believe that the political class is not protecting the country--they're not protecting our borders, our jobs, our public debt. It's giving those things away to other countries. These people are the little guys who love their country. They love this country because that's all they've got. And they're the ones turning to Trump.

However, we should never forget who originally started giving away our country: Reagan He threw this country away. He stopped protecting the borders, he gave our jobs away in the name of the free market so working Americans would have no protections from crooked, polluting foreign corporations in foreign countries. Support Trump? He's part of the problem, not the solution. He, like Reagan, is tickling your ears and will never protect America.

Please don't ever forget--it all began with the monster that the conservatives love: Reagan. Trump, like all CONservatives want nothing more than to follow in the Gipper's footsteps. Yet, Matthews reminds us that "the big shots, the well-educated types, let the trust of the working fellows slip through their hands. Democrats, especially the Clintons and Obama should take this to heart. These Democrats are the ones who believe in NAFTA, TPP and charter schools. You big shots, are quite wrong on many things and that's why you are driving people to Trump. Start supporting the working people!

1. The working people supporting Trump today do not give a flying hump about Reagan

They are going to blame the guy in charge now, and his party. His Rightwing populist appeal taps into an enormous well of discontent.

It is the same well that Sanders leftwing populism has tapped into.

At this point, I think it is possible that Sanders and Trump could win their respective nominations and face each other in the General Election.
