He nailed it. Touched on all angles. Even quoted Kennedy and his reasons for trying to reach a deal peacefully with our enemies and it worked!!

not just the speech, linked at the bottom, but a link to the agreement and our short analysis of it. Yes, the WH released the whole treaty, with some commentary, and you too can play US Senator and go read it. I highly recommend it.

(I come from a very different media culture and I know it shows)

disputing the science of my actual nuclear physicist involved for two years in the negotiations"!

How about "Astounding" for an option?

4. I don't want to have to go there, but has anyone checked out FOX?

I'll bet some of those old neocons and warmongers who were so hot to trot under W have heads exploding all over the place with Obama's statement about those "war-hungry politicians" since many of them all but live on FOX.

If you go there, please report back to us that don't have strong stomachs. Thanks in advance.

6. One of the CNN talking heads said he had too much swag...

Now swag is a good thing most of the time but in this instance I didn't believe such a characterization was appropriate.

14. Then, they bawl him out/make fun of him because he's too wimpy.

I haven't been able to sit down and listen to the speech, but when I saw the photo of him smiling or laughing, I figured he was going to pay for it.

He has to be driving them mad. They've done everything but call him "Boy!" and he still walks away the winner. He is thoroughly enjoying the last part of his term and so am I.

It will sure be sad when he leaves office.

7. I generally read his speeches as I don't usually like his delivery.

He did well on this one, in my opinion, hence it was excellent.

I read his speeches though, and consider most of them as exceptional.
This one actually did not make me cringe and change the channel.

So yeah, this to me was done well.

For Iran."

He gave more than sufficient cover for any member of Congress who still feels he or she needs it.

ever heard him give. I'm not terribly interested in the Iran topic, but this speech kept my attention. I learned a lot about what's at stake. Kind of reminded me of Bill Clinton's speech at the 2012 DNC.
