Michigan State lawmaker (tea party) Todd Courser devised a not so ingenious plan to have an email sent to his republican supporters falsely accusing Courser of hiring a male prostitute. His intention was to provide cover for a real extramarital affair the married father of 4 was having with another State lawmaker. Apparently Courser wanted to create the impression that a smear campaign was under way against him. He hatched the plan after both he and his mistress, rep Cindy Gamrat, received texts from an unknown number threatening to reveal their affair. The first staffer he instructed to send the fake email refused, and was fired. Fortunately, that staffer recorded the conversation with Courser! After he had refused, Courser found someone else, and the email was sent on May 20.

My favorite part?: He referred to his supporters as "the herd"!

This guy is way too stupid to be holding an elected office.
