Donald Trump banned from major Conservative event over menstruation jibe at Megyn Kelly

Donald Trump on Friday night attacked Fox News host Megyn Kelly for menstruating. “She had blood coming out of her eyes. Or blood coming out of her whereever,” Trump told CNN’s Don Lemon about her questioning of him at Thursday night’s debate.

"I just don't want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal."

Donald Trump banned from major event over menstruation jibe at Megyn Kelly
Conservative activist Erick Erickson, organizer of the RedState Gathering, says mogul went ‘a bridge too far’ in discussing Fox News moderator’s tough questioning

Erick Erickson, the organizer of the event and a major conservative activist tweeted late on Friday night, “I have rescinded my invitation to Mr. Trump. While I have tried to give him great latitude, his remark about Megyn Kelly was a bridge too far.”

In a follow-up blog post, Erickson amplified why he was disinviting Trump: “there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross,” he wrote. “Decency is one of those lines.”

On Saturday morning, Trump used Twitter to attempt a clarification of his remark. He tweeted: “Re Megyn Kelly quote: ‘you could see there was blood coming out of her eyes, blood coming out of her wherever’ (NOSE). Just got on w/thought”.

The falling-out marked the first major break with Trump from a key figure in the mainstream conservative movement. Republican strategist Matt Mackowiak told the Guardian: “This is the first time that a significant figure in the conservative movement has stood up to Trump and it’s cost him anything."

1. How many rw idiots have hinted that Hillary would be "emotional"

Or some other euphemism for "female-y" that implied that she or other females could not be an effective leader? They've suggested that "once a month" a female would be too angry or emotional to do their job.

The GOP is just trying to take advantage of this to sink Trump.

8. Seriously? Have you actually observed the words and behavior of most of the GOP

candidates? The most hormonal woman in the world is still more sane and reliable than these asshats. Why is it ok for men to be batshit crazy and we all just dismiss it with "oh, well, he's just trying to be outrageous".

I'm so sick of this shit. Most of these men are literally insane. Yes, I am using the word "literally" correctly. Why does this nation accept this shit? What is wrong with us?

Sorry, this is not aimed at you, but your comment just set me off and I had a rant in me. Nothing personal at all.

The repubs are desperate to kick Trump out of the race. The party of misogyny is fooling no one by trying to make Trump look like a misogynist. It's more like "welcome to the club."

9. Yep. It's only going to increase his support with their base, too.

It's amazing how ham handed and stupid these right-wing 'leaders' can be. The Republican base will say this proves Erickson is actually a liberal, and Trump is the 'real conservative'.

4. Using John Stewart's 'Bullshit Mountain"... You know it's BS when Erick Erickson has a problem.

.

Erick Erickson is one of the last people to have a problem with what Trump says.

So, for Erickson to have a problem, you know there is some bullshit flying around.

He just wants Trump out. Meanwhile, Drudge and Free Republic folks support Trump.

The same man who called Justice Souter a "goat fucking child molester?" Or called for a coup on establishment republicans? I could give a fuck about Trump, but to see Erickson attack him is comedy gold.

I did this video when CNN gave Erickson his own show. He's hardly the poster boy of decency.

Evidently, it's not crossing the line of decency to refer to Rosie O'Donnell as a fat pig, dog, slob and disgusting animal.

12. Trump's thin skin and his habit of getting into petty, name-calling Twitter

fights with everyone over everything is ample evidence that he would be a disaster as US spokesman on the world stage. Of course, he also has proven that he has no idea how the US government works or what powers a president has--and what power he does not have. He thinks a president is like a CEO who can bark orders and have his underlings carry them out if they don't want to risk being fired.

I am reminded of Palin's question about what a vice president's job is. She had no idea about the workings of the US government, and neither does he.
