"The Democrat Party"

I've heard this pejorative for decades. (I recall Keith Olbermann scolding GW Bush about it. "It's DEM-O-CRAT-IC! Show some respect!"

Well, I like to take the high road and not stoop to the level of my opponents, but, to hell with that. From now on, it will be THE REPUBLIC PARTY for me every chance I get.

I will pledge not to adopt any other similar despicable Republic smear techniques as much as possible. A moral rationalization or fighting fire with fire?

It burns me up to hear the republics call us the Democrat party. I think we should all use the term "republic party", note the r is in lower case.

but it really just makes the speaker sound like the kind of uneducated rube who would pronounce "Washington" as "Warshington," "picture" as "picher," or "library" as "li-berry"
