Christie said, "I was appointed U.S. attorney by President Bush on Sept. 10, 2001, and the world changed enormously the next day, and that happened in my state."
Christie said he received a phone call on Sept. 10, 2001, that began the process of his appointment as the U.S. attorney for New Jersey. However, he wasn’t nominated until months later, and he was sworn into the position until the following year.
The statement contains an element of truth but ignores critical facts that would give a different impression, so we rate the statement Mostly False.

So what if the appointment didn't come until after the new year. Need you be reminded I am a bully ?
I knew my appointment was in the bag because I was told it goes unoppeased and I received my orders over the phone. And I exacuted those orders post haste. And just like Bush said in rebuttal to comments about his cronic absence from the white house, remember he said, you would be surprised how much work gets done over the phone ! And I'll second that from all my learned experience gained from my phone assaults and threats I made to anybody foolish enough to get in my cross hairs now meaning then or after the public officiation of my appointment.
And you should see the length of my ax handle- it would scare you trust me !
Just like the game show I've Got a Secret- ya I got plenty of those !
