CLEVELAND (The Borowitz Report)Based on his performance in Thursday nights debate, Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker has emerged as a leading candidate to manage an Enterprise Rent-a-Car branch, Enterprise has confirmed......................
He didnt get too many moments in the spotlight, but, just from what I saw, I would feel comfortable putting him behind one of our rental counters, he said.
He indicated that the company would be contacting Walker in the days ahead to discuss a possible future with Enterprise.
.................
Enterprises faith in Walker appears to be echoed by a new poll, which shows that thirty-one per cent of voters believe he is qualified to assistant-manage a rental-car branch

(35,378 posts)Focus or Toyota Carolla type car) at an Enterprise dealer in Florida for a vacation a couple years ago. When I come to pick up the car I was told that for only ($10 more a day) they would upgrade me to a mini van. I told them I was by myself and all I needed was an economy car and didn't want a gas guzzling van. So anyway this guy takes me out to the lot to pick up my economy car and says this is your car (a Chrysler Caravan that seated 7, I think). I told him I had an economy car reserved and that's what I wanted. He says well all our economy cars are out so we are giving you a (free upgrade) to this van. I look around and that was all they had was Chrysler Caravans so I got stuck with the pos. So yes he would be qualified to be a lying sob at Enterpise car rental I guess.

(47,953 posts)Had a econ car reserved for a 1-way trip to another city. When I got there they say they are all out, give me an 'upgrade' to the hugest SUV you have ever seen (A Ford Excursion). Cost me more in gas to drive than the rental cost. I could see the gas gauge drop when I passed someone on the freeway.
