(10,272 posts)They actually DO respect, admire and love each other. And it drives the "family values" conservatives nuts, because they have gotten REALLY good at selling the idea that the words Democratic President are slang for "family-destroying Pervert".
Too bad for them that pols keep showing that even people who disagree with this President's policy and POLITICAL positions keep clicking the "I like him PERSONALLY" button.
I think its going to be a fun election night this year=).
Maybe the Obama's should do a series of short unpaid spots for Chemistry.com, (or something) on how to maintain a good relationship lol. Just as a little something for all of America's idiot preachers to stick into their collective craw.
(ON EDIT)--It still aggravates me to no end that he thinks he has to walk around everywhere with that damn lapel pin, He's the POTUS, one would think by now that we all GET IT that he loves and values his home Country, but NOOOOOOOO...I'm sure the minute he were to take it off, some jackass would point out how un-patriotic he is......if it were me, I would have just had the flag tattooed on my forearm, and told all the haters to fuck off...but that's just my 2 cents today.

(146,317 posts)I was using "modeling" in a different way, as it is often used by people who are talking about modeling behavior as an example. It's not a conscious thing. Their real lives are a model.

(46,335 posts)That's what WND's Mychal Massie calls Michelle Obama, and Brent Bozell of MRC calls Barack Obama.
I'd say it speaks volumes about Massie and Bozell.

I could've lived my entire life without ever having read that.

(31,234 posts)surely you've seen "them holding hands in public" before now. They hold hands all the time. And as for "testing well with Blacks who are not registered to vote"? I'd say you've got bigger issues than just the president and his wife holding hands.
Enjoy your stay?

I doubt the poster would've liked my other (posting) side.
