Carly Fiorina will probably regret her push for vaccine ‘choice’ (Wapo)

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2015/08/14/did-carly-fiorina-just-step-in-it-on-vaccines/

Carly Fiorina believes parents should make the choice whether to vaccinate their children.

"When in doubt, it is always the parents' choice," Fiorina told a rural Iowa audience Thursday evening.

Later that night, she added that, "when you have highly communicable diseases where we have a vaccine that's proven, like measles or mumps, then I think a parent can make that choice." She added, though, that a "school district is well within their rights to say: 'I'm sorry, your child cannot then attend public school.'"

"So a parent has to make that trade-off," she told reporters, including The Washington Post's Jenna Johnson.

Is the Post saying that they're going to start paying attention to the actual content of what Republican candidates say, instead of simply passing judgment on whether they blathered something authoritatively enough that the average voter would want to have a beer with the candidate? That would be a refreshing change, but I'm not optimistic about that happening anytime soon at the Post or at any of the other popular media outlets.

universities, etc. If this spreads I can foresee that in the future amusement parks, malls and any public setting could start requiring proof of vaccination in order to enter.
