I'm beyond the upper bound for Florida, but that's a long way from well off. What do they consider the next level? Upper Middle Class?

7. Single income at $60k in Florida

Certainly not getting rich but it's a comfortable existence as long as one stays relatively healthy and employable.

I'm lucky to have two separate pensions with healthcare and an employer matched investment account though, those matter way more long-term than the actual cash income.

I was never middle class. Used to think that maybe I was lower lower middle class, but guess not. I am grateful to be OK.

however I still seem to be struggling. Go figure. And I'm single. Can't imagine how families can make it.
