As Americans across the country sadly find out that former President Jimmy Carter has cancer, some conservatives decided to celebrate instead....

Immediately after the news broke, people took to social media to express their support for Carter, who served a single term in office after being elected president in 1976. Most people, even conservatives, offered thoughts and prayers. But as usual, some conservatives took to Twitter and Facebook to express a completely different and totally disgusting type of sentiment.

Over on Fox News’ Facebook page, one commenter wrote that cancer was a fitting punishment for the “second worst president,” while others commenters jumped on the hate train with remarks suggesting that Carter had cancer all along because he’s a liberal to one comment actually expressing hope that Carter will die. Several people also posted backhanded condolences by again stating that Carter is the “second worst president” but that they will pray for him anyway....

One commenter suggested Carter use Obamacare to see how long he’ll live. Another claimed that God was taking revenge on Carter without specifying a reason why. Yet another blamed the cancer on being a Democrat. One simply didn’t give a damn.
