Why aren't the Dems using Jennifer Granholm more?

Former Michigan Governor Granholm was on Bill Maher tonight and was so articulate, it makes me wonder why the Democrats have not found a leadership position for her. She's now working at some college. It sure seems to me that we could use a smart, media savvy woman like her as a spokesperson if nothing else. Every time I have seen her on tv she has impressed me.
