Donald Trump to Detroit autoworkers: you make too much money

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2015/08/14/1412018/-Donald-Trump-to-Detroit-autoworkers-you-make-too-much-money

Donald Trump has something to say to Detroit autoworkers: you make too much money. Talking about U.S. vehicle manufacturers moving production to Mexico in an interview with The Detroit News, Trump said this:

He said U.S. automakers could shift production away from Michigan to communities where autoworkers would make less. “You can go to different parts of the United States and then ultimately you’d do full-circle — you’ll come back to Michigan because those guys are going to want their jobs back even if it is less,” Trump said. “We can do the rotation in the United States — it doesn’t have to be in Mexico.”

He said that after Michigan “loses a couple of plants — all of sudden you’ll make good deals in your own area.”

4. Yes, Donald. That is the 'beauty' of Taft-Hartley and 'right-to-work' laws.

Companies can break unions and lower wages without abandoning the legal and physical infrastructure of the US. Just "shift production away from Michigan to communities where autoworkers would make less" like Tennessee or Mississippi. Then "those guys in Michigan" will "want their jobs back" even if the pay "is less". Donald calls it "rotation" within the US.

We can see whose side you are on, Donald.

That very argument, said of the working class ( "you need a pay cut", "you make too much money" ) is the cornerstone of every republican/conservative economic platform. And yet: All too many in the middle/working class....hell, even among some of the poor, will gleefully carry the plutocrat's mouthpiece's water as long as they throw out hunks of raw meat to feed hungry bigoted, faux nationalist, gun-nut, religious freakazoid mouths.

Too many members of the working class vote against their own interests is a theme that's been discussed here and elsewhere; and yet it still happens. Seems everybody strives to be a rich man in a poor country.

And anyone that has filed bankruptcy on two casinos is not a good businessperson.

Every man and woman I know who has devoted their working life -- "career" to paper pushing "dealmakers" -- suffers chronic health problems from working in the plants.
