Cuyahoga County Fair vendors allowed to sell Confederate flags (OH)

MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio — Cuyahoga County fair officials said Saturday they made no decision on whether or not to ban the selling of the Confederate flag at the fairgrounds, despite the Ohio State Fair banning sales of the flag.

One merchant is selling Confederate flags at the fair and another is selling T-shirts with the Confederate flag design ...

The Ohio State Fair board's decision to ban the sale only regulates merchants at that fair, one of the country's largest. The state's county fairs make their own decisions regarding the sale of the Confederate flag or merchandise ...

Stephan, who is in charge of the fair's vendors, said the topic may come up at the board's end-of-fair meeting on Sunday. He said board members would likely need more preparation before voting on the issue before next year's fair ...
