Obama Tees off With Bill Clinton During Island GetawayMartha's Vineyard: Where Obama and Clinton go for a Summer Soirée and Vernon Jordon's 80th B-Day Party
Associated Press August 15, 2015
Edgartown, Mass
Both Obama and the 2016 Democratic front-runner plan to attend Vernon Jordan's 80th birthday party Saturday night on the swanky Massachusetts island famous as a gathering spot for prominent Democratic figures. They'll be joined by a number of other big-name corporate, civil rights and political leaders.
But don't expect photos of the glitzy event. Reporters and photographers covering Obama's vacation on Martha's Vineyard aren't permitted to attend.
An attorney and business executive, Jordan advised former President Bill Clinton and also played a prominent role in the civil rights movement. He's known the Obamas for decades. Last year both Obama and Clinton attended a party Jordan hosted on the island, where Jordan and his wife summer each year.
Clinton arrives in Martha's Vineyard from Iowa, where she promoted her proposals on child care and scholarships for student parents on Friday. Later in the month, the Clintons will vacation in the Hamptons in New York, where Clinton also plans to attend fundraisers for her campaign during her stay.''

(84,711 posts)still doesn't explain the posture. Was it Bill advising Obama on a Golf Swing...or some heated discussion.
What's interesting is that I was watching C-Span's Iowa Coverage and when they moved on from that they had a long clip of Obama playing Golf? The video wasn't as interesting as the AP's Photos in "still shots" ...but it went on and on...and, I couldn't figure why C-Span was even bothering with it. Maybe in C-Span's view they were trying to make some "big deal" that Obama was playing Golf while the Political Stuff was going on in Iowa..to disparage him...or, there was something in the coverage they thought viewers would find interesting? Curious.
I have no idea. Everything is so crazy these days with all kinds of factions vying for attention that almost everything could seem to have a "hidden agenda" in some way.
Anyway...the Grand" Poo Bahs of Dem Politics" are meeting on Martha's Vineyard tonight. Would love to be that "fly on the wall" because with 17 Repubs running and Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders throwing things into chaos of what should have been a smooth transition for Hillary in 2016 or Jeb to follow the Bush Family Tradition it looks like things are being thrown into some kind of chaos for this moment. Maybe when Biden decides on running or not...things will move forward or not.

(1,644 posts)that a photograph only captures an instant in that person's day. So,to judge someone's motives or actions based on their expression or body language in a photo is completely unfair. You might say that this person is, "angry" or "violent", for instance, when the camera simply caught them in the middle of a sneeze. Also, many of us are just not photogenic at the best of times.
