(99,710 posts)He keeps slinging poo at Hillary...
We need to know if he's "mobbed up."

(111,261 posts)but the combined efforts of Rove's bunch and the Koch boys will get rid of him soon enough.
Then the mob shit might hit a few fans, but not before.

(57,936 posts)I don't want to mention names, but it seems to me this may be quite common.
Great story that needs some intense investigation by independent media.
Thanks.

(99,710 posts)I am not going to sling poo for the heck of it but there is evidence in the public record that Trump has done business with Mafia controlled companies. That doesn't necessarily mean Trump did something wrong because the Mafia has their hands in ostensibly legal businesses but it is interesting.

(57,936 posts)The casino business was traditionally the territory of gangsters. Wouldn't surprise me if if the links are real.
I don't understand why anyone would go into a casino.
The owners of the casino could not stay in business if you had a chance of really winning.
DemocratSinceBirth
(99,710 posts)1) The evidence suggests the casino business has rid themselves of the Mafia
2) If you do research you will discover when Trump received his New Jersey casino license corners were curiously cut.
3) Yeah, gambling is a fool's errand. The house always has the advantage.

(57,936 posts)suspicious about whether it is involved with newer organized crime groups.
The problem is that gambling casinos so easily lend themselves to activities like money laundering, illicit drug sales, human trafficking for prostitution and othe purposes, etc.
By its nature, it is attractive to criminals.
DemocratSinceBirth
(99,710 posts)Casinos are magnets for prostitution and illicit drugs, the latter because it takes drugs to go on three day binges where you hardly sleep.

Seriously, I heard something like that back in the 80s or 90s

(918 posts)every candidate about their mob ties.
Am I cynical? In New York if you pour a yard of cement or ship a truckload of anything you have mob ties.
I grew up with it. I worked in a sweat shop on 8th Avenue. I loaded fruits and vegetables in the Bronx Terminal Market.
If you didn't do business with the mob you didn't do business.
Grow up people. Politicians of every stripe are in bed with organized crime!
Trump is a slug... but...

(32,886 posts)the unions and the garment, construction and waste disposal industries was broken, as were the families themselves for the most part.
I agree, though, this is likely why Trump was involved with the mafia, like just about everyone doing construction, every garment manufacturer in NY and various other businesses. It's still an ugly explanation to have to give and IMHO worse than using a personal email server.

(16,846 posts)is just a few insular Italian families. They are way beyond the NY and Chicago bosses of Prohibition and the early casinos in Vegas. They're all over the place now, and the line between mobsters and government is very blurry.

(82,849 posts)The media aren't asking T Rump much about anything. He can pop off about anything, and none of the "journalists" seem the least bit interested in scratching the surface of his sound bites.

(19,564 posts)This seems to be something the GOP would be exploiting. That is unless they're worried about what other things he might say if they do?
Having read the attached article now I see it's something they're going to leave up to surrogates to expose. Not good enough for me. I mean anyone can say anything. That's not proof enough it's real. I want it brought to the actual forefront and discussed in the open. Not a behind the scenes whisper campaign. This needs to be investigated!
What's congress up to lately? This could be a real issue here!

(99,710 posts)Trump was building his eponymous empire of hotels, casinos, and high rises in the early 1980s in New York City and Atlantic City. In both places, the construction industry was firmly under the thumb of the mafia. And in both places there are literally concrete connections between La Cosa Nostra and Trumps lavish projects. Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist David Cay Johnston, who has covered Trump for decades, has written a very useful list of questions for Trump. Many focus on his ties to the mob. In addition in his 1992 book, Trump, The Deals and the Downfall, author Wayne Barrett lays out a slew of suspicious dealings and associations.
